Dr. Manandhar Shrestha is a distinguished pathologist with specialized expertise in hematopathology and transfusion medicine. She completed her MD in Pathology from the National Academy of Medical Sciences (NAMS), Kathmandu, followed by advanced post-graduate training in Hematopathology at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, and Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute and Research Centre, New Delhi, India. Further enhancing her expertise, she pursued a WHO Fellowship in Transfusion Medicine at the National Blood Centre, Bangkok, Thailand. She has also played a key role in strengthening healthcare systems by contributing to the development of national guidelines, standards, and protocols. In recognition of her remarkable contributions to medicine and healthcare, she was honored with the prestigious Prabal Janasewa Shree (Chaturtha) in 2020. She has also authored numerous articles in indexed journals, reflecting her active involvement in academic research. She is actively involved in professional organizations and currently serves as the Member Secretary of the National Technical Advisory Committee of the National Bureau for Blood Transfusion Service and as an Executive Committee Member of the Association of Clinical Pathologists of Nepal.
