Dr. Pradhan is one of the very few psychiatrists in Nepal specializing in the field of psycho-oncology. She completed her MBBS (2003–2008) and later pursued her MD in Psychiatry (2014–2017) from Chongqing Medical University, China. In addition to her expertise in Clinical Psychiatry, she has extensive training in Clinical Psychology. She has worked as a consultant psychiatrist at the Center for Mental Health (CMC Nepal) and Phect Nepal–Kathmandu Model Hospital, and is now primarily focused on addressing the mental health needs of cancer patients, their families, caregivers, and even clinical staff. Her work extends beyond clinical practice to research, counseling, and training initiatives aimed at improving psycho-oncological care. She is also the founder of Mental Health Café (est. 2018), a unique platform where people of all ages gather once a month to better understand their mental health, support one another, and help reduce the stigma surrounding mental illness. Dr. Pradhan has published numerous articles in indexed journals and continues to contribute to academic and clinical advancements in her field. She holds professional memberships with the Nepal Medical Council (NMC), the Psychiatric Association of Nepal (PAN), and the International Psycho-Oncological Society (IPOS), reflecting her dedication to integrating psychiatry with holistic cancer care.
