Dr. Karn is an experienced Oncologist with over 15 years of clinical practice in the field of cancer care. Over the course of his career, he has also enriched his expertise through several short-term trainings abroad, enhancing his knowledge in advanced oncology practices and patient-centered care. He has contributed significantly to academic research, with more than a dozen publications in national and international journals, reflecting his commitment to evidence-based medicine and continuous learning. Dr. Karn is actively engaged in professional organizations that play a vital role in advancing oncology and patient welfare in Nepal. He is a Life Member of the SAARC Federation of Oncologists–Nepal (SFO-N), and a member of both the Thoracic Society of Nepal (TSN) and the Nepalese Association of Palliative Care (NAPCARE). His involvement in these associations underscores his dedication not only to cancer treatment but also to palliative and supportive care, ensuring a holistic approach to patient management. With his vast experience, academic contributions, and active participation in professional bodies, Dr. Karn continues to play an important role in shaping the future of oncology in Nepal.
